The delusion of Oz / La ilusión de Oz

While you disappear
I think of the events,
of all that was illusion,
and all I could touch.
Perhaps a delusion,
mockery of anonymity,
waking dream of Oz!
Today I rise obtuse,
afflicted by the ignorance
that perhaps in my doubts
you have not died yet,
and maybe early morning
you’ll come back again
mounted on a teardrop,
whispering in my cheek
with an aimlessly longing,
in the amber of your waves.
And although a captive moon
silvers you with its brilliance,
Make no mistake!
I already know you’re ephemeral,
disappearing into a tissue
captive of your own pitfalls.
For you are decline of harmony
and I, stone that does not expire…

Mientras tu desapareces
Yo pienso en el acontecer,
de todo lo que fue ilusión,
y de lo que pude tocar.
Quizá una alucinación,
una burla del anonimato,
sueño despierto de Oz!
Hoy me levanto obtuso,
abatido por la ignorancia
de que tal vez en mi dudas
tu no has muerto todavía,
y quizás mañana temprano
tu regresaras de nuevo
montada en una lagrima,
murmurando en mi mejilla
con un anhelo sin rumbo
en el ámbar de tus olas.
Y aunque la luna cautiva
te platee con su brillantez,
No te equivoques!
Ya se que eres efímera,
desapareciendo en un pañuelo
cautiva de tus propias trampas.
Porque eres declive de armonía
y Yo, la piedra que no caduca…

  1. Could all be delusion? Even that tear that lingers on an ashen cheek?
